What is the difference between IQOS and E-Cigarettes?
Simply put, IQOS is a tobacco heating system that uses real tobacco, whereas e-cigarettes heat liquid. Both IQOS and E-Cigarettes are different from smoking as they do not burn anything.
While cigarettes rely on combustion to work, neither IQOS or e-cigarettes burn, so neither device requires matches or a cigarette lighter. IQOS consists of a tube fitted with a heating blade into which sticks of tobacco are inserted and heated up rather than burned, resulting in 95% less harmful chemicals compared to cigarettes*, which combusts at a high temperature.
How does IQOS smell compared to e-cigarettes?
IQOS, has a similar look and feel to a cigarette and retains the taste of real tobacco, but because there is no combustion, using the device can’t burn you, those around you, your pets or, in fact, anything at all as there is no lit end.
Electronic cigarettes also rely on the process of heating rather than burning but in this case an aromatized liquid, without tobacco, is vaporised to create the experience. These liquids are available in a wide variety of ‘flavours’, some of which contain nicotine and others that are completely nicotine-free.
What’s the battery life and charging time of IQOS compared to an e-cigarette?
There are a wide range of e-cigarettes on the market, all of which are battery powered, and device usage depends on the variability of the battery life. The duration of an IQOS device depends on the number of experiences used. Each HEETS stick last for 6 minutes or 14 pulls. After a pack of 20 uses, the device will need to be recharged using the power socket. Between uses, the IQOS holder needs to be replaced in the battery pack for roughly 3.5 minutes to recharge.
