Rental Terms and Conditions

  • You (“the Renter”) hereby confirm that you are a South African resident, a legal age smoker or user of nicotine containing products and over the age of 18.
  • Philip Morris South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“PMSA”) hereby provides the Renter with an IQOS 3 DUO device, charging plug, charging cable and cleaning tool (the “IQOS Device Kit”) to rent for a period of 14 consecutive days from the date of confirmation of these terms and conditions (the “Rental Period”).
  • The Renter shall return the IQOS Device Kit to any IQOS brand retail kiosk in South Africa or alternatively at an agreed time and place as arranged with the IQOS salesperson by no later than the last day of the Rental Period. No refund shall be due and payable to the Renter, should he/she return the device before the expiry of the Rental Period.
  • The Renter is only entitled to rent an IQOS Device Kit once. No extension of the term or second rental agreement by the Renter will be permitted.
  • The Renter may not affect any technical changes to any component of the IQOS Device Kit and confirms that he/she shall not give, lend or sell the IQOS Device Kit to a third party.
  • The Renter hereby undertakes to handle the IQOS Device Kit with the greatest care.
  • Defective IQOS devices will be replaced subject to the conditions of the IQOS device warranty.
  • Should the device be damaged (other than due to a manufacturer defect), lost or stolen, or should the Renter fail to return the IQOS Device Kit when due, the Renter will be liable for the full costs of repair or replacement (as the case may be).
  • For any problems with the IQOS Device Kit, these must be reported to the IQOS Customer Care Centre (0800 043 387) or IQOS salesperson as soon as possible.
  • The Renter may receive individual customer care onboarding support, which may include (but not be limited to) in person support, e-mails and/or telephone calls.
  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
