Do HEETS taste the same as cigarettes?
With IQOS and HEETS, Philip Morris International has managed to retain the full flavour and satisfying taste of tobacco while producing 95% less harmful chemicals than the smoke from cigarettes*. IQOS is however not risk free. It contains nicotine and is addictive.
What are the different flavours of HEETS available?
A completely new way to enjoy tobacco, HEETS are made from the finest quality leaf tobacco that is processed into small tobacco sticks offering a taste and flavour that is comparable to conventional cigarettes. The HEETS smell, while producing less smell than cigarettes, tends to vary depending on which HEETS variants you choose.
There are eight HEETS flavours currently available on the market in South Africa. Following the launch of three original variants – Amber, Yellow and Turquoise, five additional flavours – Russet, Bronze, Sienna, Blue and Purple Wave were launched in South Africa. This is what each HEETS taste like:
- Russet Full-bodied, roasted tobacco blend
- Bronze Rich, full-bodied and intense with predominant cocoa notes
- Sienna Balanced and woody with a full tobacco nose
- Amber Roasted tobacco notes with a nutty scent
- Yellow Mellow and aromatic with zesty fresh hints
- Blue Full bodied with deeply cooling mint freshness
- Turquoise Highly aromatic with a fresh zesty nature
- Purple Wave Crisp menthol cooling sensations colliding with indulgent dark forest fruit aromas
Keeping your IQOS clean
Keeping your IQOS holder clean is the main way in which to ensure that the aroma of HEETS remains true to their intended scent profile. If you allow tobacco residue to build up and harden inside the holder an around the heating blade not only do you run the risk of the device not working optimally but it will also have an effect on the aroma during an IQOS experience.
Each IQOS kit comes with a mechanical cleaner as well as a small pack of alcohol-infused cleaning sticks. Use the mechanical cleaner daily – rotate it in one direction only to prevent damaging the heating blade and to remove tobacco sediment produced during the IQOS experience from settling at the base of the blade. A build-up of sediment can negatively impact your IQOS experience and cause the device to become overly hot during use.
