How HEETS are made
The journey to create the tobacco sticks has a lot of tiny steps. It begins with farmers who care deeply for their crops, from America to Mozambique, Italy to Indonesia – they know their soil, the weather, the seasons – they are up at dawn and with their crop all day long.
Tobacco in every HEETS tobacco stick is prepared using a processing method called 'cast leaf process' to optimise the tobacco for heating.
The tobacco leaves are ground into powder and reconstituted into tobacco sheets. These sheets are crimped and made into a tobacco plug which, combined with all the other parts, creates a HEETS tobacco stick.
How long do HEETS last?
IQOS monitors the temperature and number of puffs of each HEETS tobacco stick to ensure an optimal balance between stick heating temperature and duration. As the HEETS taste is different and less harsh than what smokers might be used to with cigarettes, they may be inclined to puff more frequently. However, longer and gentler puffs would extend the duration and increase taste satisfaction from HEETS.
